    ➤ By Naturalization
    Naturalization is another way to acquire Moroccan nationality. It is subject to several conditions, including:

      1. The applicant must have resided habitually and regularly in Morocco for at least five years prior to the application.
    2. Age and Capacity:
      1. The applicant must be of legal age and capacity under Moroccan law.
    3. Good Character and Integration:

    • A foreign woman married to a Moroccan man may, after at least five years of habitual and regular residence of the couple in Morocco, submit a declaration to the Minister of Justice during the marriage in order to acquire Moroccan nationality.

    ➤ By Declaration
    Individuals with special ties to Morocco, such as children born in Morocco to foreign parents who were themselves born in Morocco, may, under certain conditions, acquire Moroccan nationality by declaration.

    ➤ Procedure for Obtaining Nationality
    The procedure for acquiring Moroccan nationality requires the submission of an application to the Public Prosecutor at the competent Court of First Instance. The required supporting documents include:

    • The applicant’s identity document.
    • Proof of lineage (birth certificate).
    • Proof of the Moroccan nationality of the mother or father (birth certificate).

    Persons born abroad must also have their birth registered in the Moroccan civil status records.
    If the applicant resides abroad, the procedure must be carried out before the Court of First Instance of Rabat.
